Jeep Wrangler Moab 392 2026: The V8 Roars Again

2026 promises to be a spectacular year for Jeep as the brand celebrates 85 years of Wrangler production. To mark the occasion, Jeep has decided to offer 12 special editions (Twelve 4 Twelve) for the upcoming year, starting with the Jeep Wrangler Moab 392—nothing less. You can expect a new special edition to be revealed each month.

With this designation, it’s clear that the American manufacturer has combined the style and off-road capability of the Moab trim with the gargantuan 6.4-liter HEMI V8 found in certain Wrangler versions for the past few years. This powertrain produces 470 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque, a combination that is bound to be ridiculously popular.

The 2026 Jeep Wrangler Moab 392 features a 4.56 axle ratio with a 2.72:1 transfer case, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission, making it an exceptional off-road machine. The model also comes equipped with 35-inch all-terrain tires mounted on 17-inch wheels, along with an upgraded air intake system specific to this version.

But that’s not the only update for the 2026 Wrangler: the hinge system has been redesigned to make door removal even faster and easier. As always, several new colors will also be available.

Choices

As for the rest of the lineup, the 2026 Jeep Wrangler continues to offer the 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine producing 270 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque, as well as the 3.6-liter V6 delivering 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. While the turbocharged 4-cylinder is paired exclusively with an automatic transmission, the V6 can also be mated to a 6-speed manual for the enjoyment of enthusiasts.

I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait to see what Jeep has in store next month with the second special edition of the Wrangler.
